Stonehenge

One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of a circular setting of large standing stones set within earthworks. Located in the English county of Wiltshire, about 2.0 miles (3.2 km) west of Amesbury and 8 miles (13 km) north of Salisbury

Driving on A303 on our way to Great Torrington to pick up an old Premier drum kit. We did not check any maps or travel guides before we entered England trough the Eurotunnel. We were driving in nice scenery when completely “out of the blue” some familiar stones turned up. Oh Yes! Stonehenge!
We stopped the car and walked around this amazing structure, surrounded by mystery.
What a surprise! I know…It should not have been a surprise to find Stonehenge in the county of Wiltshire on Salisbury Plain, the stones have after all been around for 4 000 years! To have the most fun in the course of your holiday it would be wise for you to have an effective travel guide.
